The emergency response department of the National Health Commission (NHC) has released a notification signaling the start of a one-year centralized rectification of corruption issues in the pharmaceutical field. This initiative is undertaken in collaboration with key government bodies including the Ministry of Public Security, the National Audit Office, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the State Administration for Market Regulation, the National Healthcare Security Administration, and the National Medical Products Administration.
Zero Tolerance Policy on Corruption in Healthcare
The meeting emphasized the critical nature of corruption in the pharmaceutical field, which directly endangers the lives and health of the public. It was underscored that corruption must be met with a resolute response and a “zero tolerance” attitude. The government is committed to deepening systematic governance across the entire pharmaceutical industry chain, focusing on key areas such as production, supply, sales, usage, and reimbursement within the pharmaceutical sector.
Launch of “Internet plus+” Business Climate Review Platform
To facilitate public participation and tip-offs, an “Internet plus+” business climate review platform has been launched on the NHC website.
