Germany-based Merck (NYSE: MRK) has announced the appointment of Marc Horn as its China unit president, effective as of January 1, 2024. Horn will take over from Allan Gabor, who is set to retire on December 31, 2023. In his new role, Horn will be responsible for formulating Merck’s development strategy in China, establishing cooperative relationships with local policymakers, partners, and clients, and promoting the company’s presence in major markets.
