China-based LBX Pharmacy has entered into a partnership with US-based Gilead Sciences, Inc (NASDAQ: GILD). The collaboration will focus on channel building, chronic disease compliance, member and private domain traffic management, and access to innovative drugs. Gilead aims to leverage LBX’s extensive network of over 10,000 drugstores, chronic disease and health management center capabilities, and diversified patient education ecosystem, which includes a “medicine + drug + insurance” model.

Gilead will contribute cutting-edge knowledge and expertise in multiple disease prevention and treatment fields. The partnership aims to provide better solutions to patients and enhance the improvement and optimization of disease management and prevention and control models in the fields of virology, mycology, and oncology in China.
LBX Pharma’s Role and Expansion
LBX Pharma will utilize its medical retail network to assist Gilead in deepening its ex-hospital channel layout. The collaboration will vertically expand full-course disease management from first and second-tier cities to third and fourth-tier cities, as well as counties and villages.
