China-based Luye Life Sciences Group has struck a partnership with the Ministry of Innovation and Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The collaboration, which leverages respective advantageous resources, will lead to the establishment of the Uzbekistan Innovative Vaccine Center in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The partnership also marks a comprehensive collaboration on pandemic vaccines between China and Middle Asia. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
China-Uzbekistan Collaboration
China has become Uzbekistan’s largest trading partner and largest export destination in recent years. Under the framework of the “Belt and Road Initiative,” the two countries will work together on vaccine center construction, vaccine R&D and production, personnel training, technical exchanges, and product promotion. The collaboration aims to enhance vaccine development and distribution capabilities in the region.
Involvement of SCO Members
According to sources, members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will also be involved in the cooperation. This involvement underscores the broader regional commitment to improving public health and pandemic preparedness through collaborative efforts.-Fineline Info & Tech
