Intuitive Surgical-Fosun Medical Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd, a joint venture (JV) between China-based Shanghai Fosun Pharmaceutical (Group) Co., Ltd (SHA: 600196) and US firm Intuitive Surgical, Inc, has commenced construction on a 2.08-hectare headquarters and industrialization base. The medical robot manufacturing R & D center is situated in Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park in Shanghai’s Pudong district. The RMB700 million (USD103.5 million) project aims to establish a local surgical robot ecosystem encompassing technology, training, service, support, and solutions.
Project Details
The project will further complete the clinical verification and transformation of results from industry-academia-research integration, accelerating the globalization of joint R & D outcomes.
