China-based WeDoctor Holdings Ltd, a Tencent-backed online medical service platform, has partnered with Jinan Innovation Zone to establish a dual-platform system combining an Internet health platform and an Internet traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) exchange platform. The collaboration builds on a previous provincial Internet health service platform focused on TCM digital innovation in Jinan, Shandong Province.

The initiative aims to integrate digital healthcare and TCM services, leveraging WeDoctor’s extensive network. The company, the largest digital medicine platform in China, operates in nearly 8,000 hospitals and collaborates with 300,000 physicians. It runs 34 Internet hospitals nationwide, with 19 accessible via local medical insurance systems.
