China’s Shanghai Electric Group has partnered with Germany-based Siemens Healthineers to localize high-end medical equipment, aiming to advance innovation and improve access to quality medical resources in China. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The partnership will focus on innovating Chinese medical equipment, promoting quality medical resources to grassroots institutions, and collaborating on business systems, product development, and after-sales services.
Shanghai Electric’s Healthcare Expansion
Over the past three years, Shanghai Electric has expanded its healthcare business to include medical imaging, oral medicine, tumor diagnosis and treatment, and medical robots.
