Johnson & Johnson China’s Cardiovascular and Professional Solutions Division Head, Kevin Chen, Resigns for New Opportunities

Johnson & Johnson (J&J, NYSE: JNJ), a leading US multinational conglomerate, has announced the resignation of Kevin Chen from his role as General Manager and Head of External Affairs and Market Access for the Cardiovascular and Professional Solutions division of J&J MedTech in China. Chen is pursuing “external development opportunities,” with his last day marked as September 16, 2024. Edward Zhou will step in to oversee the Corporate Strategy and Solutions (CSS) business unit and the External Affairs and Market Access department during the interim period.

Chen’s tenure at J&J began in 2009, where he held various management roles across different business units, including ASP, Endo, Ultrasonic Knife, Gynecologe, and Mentor. In 2015, he rejoined J&J to lead in channel management, strategic customer relations, operations, and professional education. In late March 2023, following the resignation of Chen Xi, the former General Manager of the Cardiovascular and Professional Solutions division at Johnson & Johnson MedTech China, Kevin Chen took over the position and also assumed the role of Vice President of External Affairs and Market Access.
