Medtronic Kanghui and Changzhou National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone have agreed to collaborate on the establishment of the “Medtronic Kanghui Changzhou Science and Technology Park.” The initiative aims to enhance regional advanced medical manufacturing capabilities, particularly in the orthopedic industry.
Background and Strategic Role
Kanghui became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Medtronic in 2012, and since then, Medtronic Kanghui Changzhou’s manufacturing base has played a strategic role in the US company’s orthopedic segment. The new Science and Technology Park will focus on implantation and smart equipment research and development (R & D), customer experience, and training and education. Over the past two years, Kanghui has launched eight implantable products, demonstrating its commitment to innovation and product development.
Future Prospects
