Swiss giant Roche (SWX: ROG, OTCMKTS: RHHBY) announced the launch of the Roche Genentech Innovation Center Boston at Harvard’s Enterprise Research Campus in Allston. This new facility aims to strengthen longstanding partnerships in disease biology, engineering, and artificial intelligence/machine learning.
CVRM Hub and AI Integration
The center will serve as Roche’s Cardiovascular, Renal, and Metabolism (CVRM) hub, establishing a significant end-to-end R&D presence in this therapeutic area. It will also support Roche’s and Genentech’s efforts in AI and data science to accelerate drug discovery and development.
Leadership and Employment
Headed by Manu Chakravarthy, SVP and Global Head of CVRM Product Development, the center is anticipated to employ up to 500 people in the future.
