China’s NHSA Issues Guidelines for Neurological Medical Services Pricing

China’s National Healthcare Security Administration (NHSA) has released the “Guidelines for the Pricing Project Initiation for Neurological Medical Services (Trial)”, aimed at guiding provincial healthcare security administration bureaus to formulate unified provincial price benchmarks. This initiative integrates the current pricing items for the nervous system into 82 items, including 24 additional items and 8 extension items.

Pricing Reforms and BCI Technology
Notably, the document highlights cutting-edge brain-computer interface (BCI) technology by establishing special price items such as “invasive BCI insertion fee”, “invasive BCI removal fee”, and “non-invasive BCI adaptation fee”. These specific pricing items reflect the growing importance and application of BCI technology within the healthcare sector.-Fineline Info & Tech
