US-based major Gilead Sciences Inc. (NASDAQ: GILD) announced an additional investment of USD 11 billion in the United States. This brings the company’s total investment in the country to USD 32 billion through 2030. The new funding is expected to create approximately 800 direct jobs and 2,200 indirect positions, including roles in construction, by 2028.
Funding Allocation
- Capital Projects: USD 4 billion is allocated to capital projects, including laboratory expansions and equipment upgrades.
- Technology and Operational Enhancements: USD 5 billion will support technology infrastructure, operational enhancements, and R&D site initiatives.
