Denmark-based Novo Nordisk (NYSE: NVO, CPH: NOVO-B) has formed a strategic partnership with China’s Ping An Healthcare and Technology Co., Ltd (HKG: 1833), also known as PingAn Good Doctor. The collaboration aims to integrate their strengths in obesity management and public health education to create a comprehensive service loop for weight management.
Collaboration Details
Together, Novo Nordisk and PingAn Good Doctor will develop a full cycle service loop covering cognitive enhancement, diagnosis, treatment intervention, and long-term management. This initiative seeks to promote the scientific concept of weight loss among users.
Digital Integration
As part of the partnership, the two companies will establish an “Obesity Science Popularization Zone” within PingAn Good Doctor’s digital ecosystem. This zone will offer users a complete weight management pathway. Users can utilize the “Health Self Test” tool to calculate their BMI, enabling quick weight classification and health risk assessment. Educational content on obesity risks and scientific weight loss methods will be integrated, with links to weight management services and local collaborating institutions and pharmacies.
