US-based Merck, Sharp & Dohme (MSD; NYSE: MRK) announced leadership changes in its China and Japan operations. Anna Van Acker, Senior Vice President of MSD and President of MSD in China, has stepped down from her role. She will be succeeded by Kyle Tattle, currently serving as Representative Director and President of MSD KK Japan.
Kyle Tattle’s Appointment
During his five-year tenure at Merck Japan, Kyle Tattle delivered outstanding performance, achieving double-digit growth in both revenue and profit. His appointment as President of MSD in China will take effect on July 1. Tattle’s track record of success in Japan positions him well to lead MSD’s operations in China and drive continued growth in the region.
Anna Van Acker’s New Role
Anna Van Acker will assume a key strategic management role in MSD’s Human Health Division, reporting dually to Joe Romanelli, president of MSD Human Health International, and Chirfi Guindo, Chief Marketing Officer-Human Health & SVP at MSD.
