China Isotope & Radiation Corporation (CIRC; HKG: 1763) announced that it showcased its C-14 barium carbonate product, jointly developed with Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant, at the 15th International Symposium on the Synthesis and Applications of Isotopically Labelled Compounds. The event marked a significant milestone as CIRC signed multiple sales cooperation memorandums and agreements with leading enterprises from the UK, Switzerland, Germany, and other countries. This achievement represents China’s first batch export of reactor-produced medical isotope products.
Applications of C-14 Barium Carbonate
C-14 barium carbonate serves as a core material for radiolabeling technology and finds extensive applications in critical fields. These include pharmacokinetic studies, Helicobacter pylori detection (such as urea breath tests), and pesticide metabolism analysis.
