Chunlizhengda’s Handheld Orthopedic Robot Approved by China’s NMPA

Beijing Chunlizhengda Medical Instruments Co., Ltd (HKG: 1858, SHA: 688236) has received marketing approval from China’s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) for its INS 1 handheld orthopedic robot. This development marks a significant step forward in the adoption of domestic medical robotics in China.

To date, 17 domestically produced joint surgery robots from 11 manufacturers have been granted approval in the country. Notable among these are contributions from Jianjia robot with 6 models, MedBot with 3, Yuanhua with 2, Hurwa Technology with 1, and Tinavi Medtech with 4 models that have been commercialized. In addition to domestic players, Stryker has installed 36 of its Mako intelligent robots in China.

The trend indicates a strong preference among Chinese hospitals for integrated, smart orthopedic robots, reflecting a growing emphasis on advanced surgical technologies within the country’s healthcare system.- Flcube.com
