China-based Tigermed (SHE: 300347, HKG: 3347) announced on July 29, 2025, that it has completed the acquisition of Micron, a leading Contract Research Organization (CRO) based in Japan. This strategic move underscores Tigermed’s commitment to expanding its clinical research capabilities in the Asia-Pacific region.
Micron’s Expertise and Achievements
Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Tokyo, Micron is renowned for its extensive team of medical imaging experts, one of the largest in Asia. Specializing in imaging analysis and clinical trial services, Micron has served over 250 clients and supported the market launch of more than 40 products. As Japan’s first CRO dedicated to imaging analysis, Micron has made significant strides in areas such as imaging biomarkers and AI-aided imaging. In 2024, Micron was honored with the “Best Contract Research Organization in All Japan Award.”
Post-Acquisition Vision
