The Drug Administration of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) of China has announced the second batch of drugs that designated medical institutions can use in the cooperation zone of mainland China. This update expands the “white list” of drugs available to Macao residents in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin.
White List Expansion
Previously, in April 2024, a total of 296 drugs were included in the white list. Now, an additional 249 Macau-approved drugs have been added. This initiative aims to further meet the diverse medication needs of Macao residents within the cooperation zone.
Access to Macau-Approved Drugs
The Macau-approved drugs on the white list are now accessible to Macao residents at designated medical institutions in Guangdong Province. This includes the health station in the “Macau New Neighborhood” in Hengqin, enhancing the availability of medications for the community.-Fineline Info & Tech
