Shanghai-based ClinBrain, a clinical data repository (CDR) and medical big data services provider, together with the National Clinical Research Center for Geriatric Diseases (WCH), announced the establishment of a “joint laboratory of geriatric information platform.” The two will work together on clinical research applications, the construction of a high-quality clinical medical research database, disease risk prediction and early warning, clinical auxiliary decision-making, artificial intelligence, and more. No financial details were disclosed.

The National Clinical Research Center for Geriatric Diseases (WCH), founded in 2016, is focused on the aging mechanism and anti-aging research, the establishment of the combination of medicine and health care and health care system, early warning and prevention, and control of disability/dementia, and research and promotion and application of geriatric comorbidity management and medication safety. The institution first collaborated with ClinBrain in 2019 to set up a big data platform for geriatrics, including a clinical research database for common diseases of the elderly, a multi-center clinical research data management system for the elderly, a data acquisition system, scientific research data quality monitoring and control system, and more.
