Global Malaria Landscape: The Need for Effective Treatments<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to WHO statistics, there were approximately 247 million cases of malaria and 625,000 deaths worldwide in 2021. Artemisinin-based combination therapy remains the most effective treatment for severe malaria, underscoring the importance of drug availability. In that same year, global distribution of artemisinin-based medications reached 242 million through international public procurement bids.
