This deal includes the 10 ASEAN nations, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, and Taiwan, significantly expanding the reach of this novel treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fosravuconazole, known to improve solubility and bioavailability, is a prodrug of ravuconazole, which was originally discovered and developed by Eisai. Sato Pharma has been marketing fosravuconazole in Japan under the trade name Nailin since July 2018 for the treatment of onychomycosis, a fungal infection of the nails. The drug has demonstrated superior efficacy and safety in phase III clinical studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the terms of the agreement, Eisai will receive undisclosed upfront and milestone payments, as well as royalties on future sales.
