The Fujian Provincial Healthcare Security Bureau has released the Notice on Adjusting and Improving the Sunshine Procurement Mechanism for Drugs, outlining new criteria for drugs to be considered for online procurement. According to the notice, drugs that meet specific requirements and have quotes no higher than the current online prices of the company’s products with the same generic name and dosage form on other provincial platforms nationwide can be filed for online procurement and included on a monthly basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eligibility Requirements for Online Procurement<\/strong>
The requirements for drug eligibility under the Sunshine Procurement Mechanism are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Innovative drugs, primarily Category 1 drugs, that are not yet on the Sunshine online procurement list in Fujian.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Drugs that have not been listed on the Fujian provincial drugs and devices procurement platform but comply with the original registration procurement procedures and have been registered and purchased by at least 5 Class 3 public medical institutions in the province.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Varieties involved in national, provincial alliance, or provincial volume-based procurement (VBP) rounds with quotes that meet certain requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Strengthened Monitoring and Analysis of Online Procurement Drugs<\/strong>
    The document also stipulates the need for strengthened monitoring and analysis of the usage of online procurement drugs that are on the national key monitoring and rational drug use list.
