G201-Na: Mechanism and Development<\/strong>
G201-Na is a small molecule gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) receptor antagonist designed to inhibit the growth and proliferation of prostate cancer cells, which are dependent on androgen. In male patients, G201-Na works by inhibiting the signal transduction of the hypothalamus-pituitary-gonad axis, reducing the production and release of endogenous luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). This, in turn, lowers the levels of estrogen or androgen, which are critical in treating hormone-dependent diseases like prostate cancer.
