The Shanghai Municipal Health Commission (SHC) has released a notification regarding the public hospital high-quality development pilot project initiated by the office of Shanghai’s “Deepening Medical Reforms Leading Group.” The project aims to enhance the quality and efficiency of public healthcare services in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Selection of Pilot Units<\/strong> Pilot Project Details<\/strong>
Based on recommendations from districts and medical institution main bodies, the SHC, in collaboration with relevant departments, has selected 40 public medical institutions as pilot units for high-quality development. These institutions were chosen for their strong reform awareness, innovation capabilities, solid disciplinary foundations, and significant potential for improvement. Additionally, 20 public hospitals were selected as pilot units under guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The pilot work will commence from the date of the notification and will last for five years. All pilot units are required to implement functional orientation, strengthen referral and horizontal cooperation, and actively participate in the construction of an integrated medical and health service system.
