The targeted indication is idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Disease Overview and Current Therapies<\/strong><br>IPF is a chronic progressive fibrotic interstitial pneumonia of unknown etiology, prevalent in middle-aged and elderly populations, characterized by rapid progression and poor prognosis. Current IPF therapies on the market in China include pirfenidone and nintedanib, which can slow disease progression but do not reverse the fibrosis process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>XYP-001 Mechanism and Advantages<\/strong><br>XYP-001 is designed to reduce the production of fibrotic factors in lung tissue by inhibiting the activation of the fibrosis and inflammatory signaling pathway P38-AKT protein.
