This Category 1 innovative drug becomes the company\u2019s fifth drug to reach clinical trials in the blood cancer field and its 13th overall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Development Focus<\/strong><br>InnoCare plans to develop ICP-248 for the treatment of malignant hematological tumors, including non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) and acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). The drug works by specifically binding to BCL2, relieving the inhibition of the mitochondrial apoptosis pathway caused by BCL2 overexpression. This action releases and activates pro-apoptotic proteins, increases the permeability of the mitochondrial membrane, and releases cytochrome c.
