Dr. Chen Dong’s Background and Contributions at Hengrui<\/strong>
Dr. Chen Dong studied at Wuhan University and Yale University before joining Hengrui Pharma in December 2017. At Hengrui, he led a team to complete multiple major external collaborations, playing a crucial role in promoting the company’s internationalization process. Since February 2023, he had been leading the business expansion team in China, focusing on global cooperation in areas such as search evaluation, due diligence, transaction negotiation, and alliance management. His efforts facilitated the formation of multiple strategic partnerships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Previous Leadership Changes at Hengrui Pharma<\/strong>
Previously, Hengrui Pharma hired Jens Bitsch Norhaven, a veteran of Johnson & Johnson’s BD, as the head of global development affairs. Jens Bitsch Norhaven had a 19-year tenure with the US major, during which he led multiple BD affairs. He took over from Zhang Su, the former overseas BD manager of Hengrui.
