US major Boston Scientific Corporation (NYSE: BSX<\/a>) has jointly established the “Urinary Joint Innovation Center” and “Rez\u016bm Academic Exchange Training Center” in China with ParkwayHealth and YiRan Urology. Boston Scientific\u2019s Rez\u016bm hot steam treatment equipment and disposable prostate hot steam treatment equipment was installed in the center for the first time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) Overview<\/strong>
Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a common disease causing urination disorders in middle-aged and elderly men. Over half of men aged over 50 globally suffer from BPH, with the proportion rising to 90% among men over 80. The Rez\u016bm system pioneers ultra – minimally invasive hot steam therapy, which can be performed under local anesthesia. It uses the heat energy release of high-temperature water vapor to instantly necrotize the tissue cells of prostatic hyperplasia. These cells are naturally absorbed by the human body, reducing the size of the prostate and improving clinical symptoms. The average operation time is only 5 – 8 minutes, and the patient’s sexual function is well preserved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The system has been available in the Lecheng Bo’ao Medical Tourism Pilot Zone since December 2020 through the pilot zone\u2019s accelerated access policy.
