US-based PerkinElmer and China’s South China University of Technology (SCUT) have officially launched their joint translational medicine center of excellence. The center, located at SCUT’s Medical College in Guangzhou, Guangdong, is equipped with advanced scientific research tools from PerkinElmer and is open to the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Center Details<\/strong>
The laboratory features cutting-edge life science imaging technology and automated workstations spanning molecules to cells to animals. It marks PerkinElmer’s third shared lab platform related to translational medicine in China, following collaborations with Fudan University and the State Key Laboratory of Biochemical Engineering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SCUT Medical College Background<\/strong>
Established in 2014, SCUT’s Medical College operates three Class 3A hospitals and was ranked in the top 1% globally in the ESI for clinical medicine in 2017.
