Summit Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ: SMMT<\/a>), the U.S. partner of China-based Akeso Inc. (HKG: 9926<\/a>) for ivonescimab, announced a clinical collaboration with Pfizer (NYSE: PFE<\/a>) to evaluate the combination of ivonescimab, Akeso’s PD-1\/VEGF bispecific antibody (BsAb), with Pfizer’s antibody drug conjugates (ADCs) in multiple solid tumors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Collaboration Details<\/strong>
Under the agreement, Summit will provide ivonescimab for the studies, while Pfizer will conduct the operations. Both parties will oversee the trials, which are set to begin in mid-2024. The studies will assess ivonescimab combined with Pfizer’s vedotin ADCs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ivonescimab Background<\/strong>
Ivonescimab, the world’s first PD-1\/VEGF BsAb, was licensed to Summit by Akeso in a $5 billion deal in 2022 for development in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Japan.
