China-based biotech Akeso Biopharma (HKG: 9926<\/a>) announced the national delivery of its cadonilimab (AK104), marking a commercial launch just six days after approval. The drug, conditionally approved in China on June 29th, is a self-discovered bispecific antibody (BsAb) indicated for the treatment of recurrent or metastatic cervical cancer that has failed previous platinum-based chemotherapy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drug Profile<\/strong>
Cadonilimab is an innovative bispecific antibody targeting programmed death-1 (PD-1) and cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 (CTLA-4). Akeso is further developing the drug for a range of indications, including liver, cervical, lung, and stomach cancers, as well as esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
