This collaboration, focusing on lung, colorectal, and gastric cancers, aims to create three types of tumor 3D models to identify new therapeutic targets and screen novel CAR-T cell therapies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Collaboration Details<\/strong><br>The 18-month project will be conducted at the Trinity Translational Medicine Institute, led by Dr. William McCormack and Legend Ireland&#8217;s Vice Director of Business Development and Operations, Dr. Sharon O&#8217;Neill. The institute is Ireland&#8217;s sole clinical center capable of CAR-T and stem cell transplantation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Institutional Strengths<\/strong><br>Trinity College Dublin ranks in the top 1% globally among medical and biological research institutions. Saint James&#8217;s Hospital, a major teaching hospital affiliated with Trinity College Dublin, provides specialized cancer care services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Legend Biotech&#8217;s Pipeline<\/strong><br>Legend Biotech is co-developing Carvykti (ciltacabtagene autoleucel), a BCMA-targeted CAR-T therapy for multiple myeloma, with Janssen. The therapy has received FDA approval and conditional EU approval.
