Lemborexant Mechanism and Benefits<\/strong>
Lemborexant, a dual orexin receptor antagonist, works by competitively binding to two types of orexin receptors (OX1R and OX2R). This action inhibits orexin neurotransmission and regulates the sleep-wake rhythm. Clinical data indicate that lemborexant shortens the time to fall asleep, reduces nighttime awakenings, and prolongs total sleep time.
