This marks the use of the world’s first and only oral maintenance therapy for acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in the region, made possible by the “Hong Kong Macau Drug and Device Access” policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Azacitidine, an oral demethylation agent, offers a more convenient outpatient treatment option for patients with AML. Its oral formulation significantly reduces the adverse reactions commonly associated with traditional administration routes.
