South Korean biopharmaceutical company Celltrion (KRX: 068270) has presented positive long-term efficacy and safety data for its infliximab biosimilar in the treatment of Crohn\u2019s disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC). The biosimilar offers the advantage of subcutaneous administration, providing a more convenient alternative to Johnson & Johnson\u2019s (J&J; NYSE: JNJ<\/a>) originator Remicade for patients with moderately to severely active CD and UC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The data, which spans up to 102 weeks of treatment, shows that Celltrion\u2019s biosimilar maintains sustained efficacy in both CD and UC, with no new safety concerns reported.
