The collaboration aims to enhance the quality and safety detection of cell therapy products, marking a significant step forward in the field. Hopstem, a pioneer in the development of induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) therapies in China, is known for its iPSC-derived hNPC01, a treatment for the sequelae of hemiplegia following ischemic stroke. This product is not only the first neurological iPSC cell product in China to receive clinical approval from the Center for Drug Evaluation (CDE), but it also holds the distinction of being the world’s first pluripotent stem cell-derived forebrain precursor cell product approved for clinical use.
