Roche Unveils Sequencing by Expansion (SBX) Technology for Next-Generation Sequencing

Swiss pharmaceutical giant Roche (SWX: ROG, OTCMKTS: RHHBY) announced the presentation of its proprietary sequencing by expansion (SBX) technology, marking a significant advancement in next-generation sequencing (NGS).

Technology Overview
SBX integrates innovative sensor modules to provide ultra-fast and high-throughput sequencing solutions. The technology is designed with broad flexibility and scalability, making it suitable for various application scenarios. It encodes the sequence of target nucleic acid molecules (DNA or RNA) into an Xpandomer, a measurable surrogate polymer that is 50 times longer than the original molecule. This process enhances signal clarity and reduces background noise, enabling the decoding of hundreds or even thousands of genes involved in complex diseases such as cancer, immune disorders, and neurodegenerative diseases.-Fineline Info & Tech
