ChemPartner Pharmatech Co., Ltd (SHE: 300149), a biopharmaceutical company based in China, and Meta Bright Group Bhd (KLSE: MBRIGHT) from Malaysia have announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop a pharmaceutical and biotechnology hub in Malaysia. According to Meta Bright’s stock exchange filing, the hub will concentrate on research and development, manufacturing, and commercialization of pharmaceutical and biotech products.
ChemPartner, a Contract Research, Development and Manufacturing Organization (CRDMO), provides a comprehensive range of services including discovery chemistry, biology, pharmacology, drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics, and toxicology. The company aims to extend these services to local Malaysian firms. Meta Bright will be responsible for identifying a suitable strategic site for the hub and will manage the construction and development of laboratories, manufacturing plants, and office spaces.
