Sandoz (OTCMKTS: SDZNY), a Swiss pharmaceutical company, has announced the opening of a new antibiotics manufacturing site in Austria, marking a significant expansion in its production capabilities. The annual production capacity in the city has increased from 200 million to 240 million packages, following the completion of a 3,000 square meter factory. This development is the result of a substantial EUR 200 million (USD 217 million) investment, which will enable the facility to supply over 100 markets globally.
