Baidu Health has entered into a strategic partnership with Shanghai Yibang Medicine Information Technology Co., Ltd., aiming to leverage Baidu’s extensive capabilities in search, mapping, health, artificial intelligence, and e-commerce to enhance operations for brick-and-mortar pharmacies across China. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
The collaboration will focus on utilizing Baidu’s traffic-related applications, including Baidu APP, Baidu Map, and Xiaodu, to effectively connect with end-users. This initiative will enable pharmacies to showcase relevant store and service information tailored to user needs, offer complimentary support in developing store mini-programs, and integrate online and offline channels. By building a private domain “traffic pool,” the partnership seeks to drive customer acquisition and foster long-term repeat business.
