Baidu Health has entered into a partnership with Beijing-based pharmaceutical business service provider Souyao. The collaboration will capitalize on Baidu’s resource advantages in areas such as search engines, map navigation, health services, artificial intelligence (AI), and e-commerce to offer comprehensive technical and operational services for brick-and-mortar pharmacies. The goal is to drive performance growth and enhance the quality of service provision for these pharmacies, though financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.
Baidu Health and Souyao aim to tackle challenges faced by offline pharmacies, including difficult operations and revenue generation, with targeted solutions leveraging Baidu’s strengths. They plan to use traffic scenarios like the Baidu app and Baidu Maps to accurately reach end consumers, displaying highly relevant store and service information based on user needs. Additionally, they will offer free assistance to store developers in creating mini-programs, facilitating integration of online and offline channels, building a private domain “traffic pool,” and achieving new customer acquisition and long-term repeat purchases. Lastly, they will utilize the core advantages of Baidu Health’s “content+service+technology” resources to provide comprehensive technical and operational services for physical stores, empowering offline pharmacy operations.- Flcube.com
