Shanghai-based primary healthcare digital platform Pica, developed by Wuxi AppTec in 2016, has partnered with BrainCo, a firm operating in China and the U.S., to launch the latter’s ADHD product in China. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
Product Details
The ADHD product features a smart, non-invasive brain-computer interface (BCI) attention regulation system. BrainCo’s FocusCalm, a meditation/mindfulness stress relief system, will also be introduced at the grassroots level in China.
Technology
Founded by Harvard graduate Han Bicheng, BrainCo uses non-invasive BCI technology via a headband to monitor brain EEG waves. FocusCalm measures brain activity and employs games, exercises, and meditations to improve focus and relaxation.
