China’s National Health Commission (NHC) released the “Healthcare Statistical Communique 2021,” revealing increased healthcare spending, improved life expectancy, and enhanced pandemic response capabilities. The report highlights key metrics in medical resources, services, and public health.

  • Life Expectancy: Rose to 78.2 years in 2021 from 77.93 years in 2020.
  • Maternal Mortality: Dropped to 16.1/100,000 from 16.9/100,000.
