Gaush Meditech Receives NMPA Approval for Femtosecond Laser Corneal Refractive Surgery System

Suzhou-based Gaush Meditech Ltd (HKG: 2407) announced receiving market approval from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) for its femtosecond laser corneal refractive surgery system and accompanying disposable eye fixation patient interface. Developed in collaboration with German partner SCHWIND eye-tech-solutions GmbH, the system is designed for producing corneal flaps in femtosecond laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis (Femto LASIK).

Technology and Safety
The system incorporates CenTrax smart center positioning and eye tracking technology, along with ultra-high laser frequencies, to enhance safety and surgical efficiency. The optimized arc-shaped integrated negative pressure ring ensures patient comfort and minimizes the risk of eyeball and corneal deformation.

Personalized Treatment
The product enables the creation of personalized ultra-thin corneal flaps, with a maximum flap diameter of up to 9.6 millimeters. This provides a sufficient therapeutic light area, making it particularly suitable for the treatment of hyperopia and mixed astigmatism.-Fineline Info & Tech
