Japan-based Maruho has announced the establishment of a wholly owned subsidiary in Beijing, marking its official entry into the Chinese market.
Founded in 1915, Maruho reported revenues of RMB 4.1 billion in 2023, with a strong focus on skin diseases, which account for 96% of its income. External preparations alone contributed 77% of total revenue. The company is also broadening its business scope to include diagnostic reagents, medical devices, and self-care products related to skin conditions.
