Siemens Healthineers AG has secured marketing approval from China’s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) for its Magnetom Terra X, a localized next-generation 7T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system. This marks a significant advancement in medical imaging technology within the Chinese market.
Terra. X, the first domestically produced 7T clinical MRI system in China and the industry’s pioneering dual-mode 7T MRI system, offers the flexibility to switch between clinical and scientific research modes. This innovative system is an enhancement of the MAGNETOM Terra, which received approval in China in October 2022. The new product boasts the world’s first 8-channel dynamic parallel transmission architecture, integrating artificial intelligence to enhance imaging capabilities and accelerate image acquisition processes.
