China’s NMPA and Denmark’s Medicines Agency Commit to Enhanced Regulatory Cooperation

The National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) of China and the Danish Medicines Agency have signed a Letter of Intent for cooperation in the field of medical devices and pharmaceutical regulation. The agreement was formalized in Beijing between Li Li, the head of the NMPA, and Mette Eberhard Hansen, the acting director of the Danish Medicines Agency. This initiative aims to strengthen the exchange and collaboration between the two parties in the regulation of pharmaceuticals and medical devices.

Li Li highlighted that in recent years, the two agencies have engaged in a series of exchange activities in the areas of drug review, testing, inspection, and medical device regulation. He expressed his hope that the two sides can promote exchanges and cooperation between the drug regulatory authorities of the two countries to broader areas and deeper levels.
