Bayer’s Leap Forward: Implementing Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud for Customer Engagement

Bayer (ETR: BAYN) has announced that its China Prescription Medicines business has fully adopted the “Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud” solution, creating an all-new customer interaction platform, OPERA 2.0, for thousands of internal Bayer users. Bayer is one of the first multinational pharmaceutical companies in China to implement a new customer interaction platform project using “Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud.”

Launch and Benefits of Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud
In December 2023, “Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud” was officially launched, offering clients conducting business in China a localized customer interaction platform system service that aligns with Chinese laws and regulations. This service provides a better access experience and an integrated product that is more in tune with the dynamics of the Chinese market. In July 2024, Bayer, as a pioneer in the industry, took the lead in building the new OPERA 2.0 customer interaction platform based on “Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud,” integrating daily business processes and existing systems to achieve a comprehensive upgrade of the system and build a customer-centric interaction and communication platform.

OPERA 2.0’s Integration and Upgrade
Bayer’s adoption of OPERA 2.0 signifies a significant step forward in enhancing customer engagement and internal efficiency. The platform not only aligns with the local regulatory environment but also offers a more integrated and dynamic approach to meeting the needs of the Chinese market. By integrating internal business processes and existing systems, Bayer has successfully upgraded its operational framework, putting the customer at the core of its interactions and communications.-Fineline Info & Tech
