Ping An Good Doctor Reports Revenue Decline but Medical Services Growth in 2022

China-based Ping An Healthcare and Technology Co., Ltd (HKG: 1833), also known as Ping An Good Doctor, released its 2022 financial report. The company recorded revenues of RMB 6.16 billion (USD 902.9 million) throughout the year, marking a 16.01% decrease year-on-year (YOY). Losses narrowed to RMB 611 million (USD 89.5 million), down 60.3% YOY. This indicates significant progress in managing operational costs and improving financial performance.

Revenue Breakdown and Medical Services Growth
Despite the overall revenue decline, medical services revenue increased to RMB 2.547 billion (USD 373.2 million), up 2.0% YOY. Health services, however, saw a decrease of 25.3% YOY, accounting for RMB 3.613 billion (USD 529.4 million). This highlights the company’s focus on strengthening its medical services segment.

User and Partnership Expansion
As of December 31, 2022, the Ping An Good Doctor platform had close to 43 million paid users. The cumulative number of corporate customers (B-end) increased to 978, with the annual number of paid users reaching approximately 3 million. Ping An Group’s comprehensive financial channel (F-end) had over 34 million paid users throughout the year. The platform has also expanded its network of medical experts, signing up more than 20 million experts covering over 300 Class 3A hospitals in more than 60 cities, along with an external physician group of over 49,000 from 23 departments.

O2O Medical and Health Services Network
In terms of O2O medical and health services, Ping An Good Doctor has partnered with over 5,000 hospitals and 224,000 pharmacies, as well as more than 100,000 health service suppliers.
