Shanghai Microport EP Medtech Co., Ltd’s disposable pressure monitoring magnetic positioning radiofrequency catheter has been approved for marketing by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), marking the 185th innovative medical device in China.

Product Features and Benefits
The product adopts pressure sensing technology based on the principle of strain gauge, magnetic field positioning technology, porous saline perfusion technology at the head end, and a three-dimensional electrophysiological mapping system, which can provide an overall solution for the treatment of atrial fibrillation patients. It is touted as the first domestically-developed radiofrequency catheter with a pressure sensing function. Compared with the traditional radiofrequency catheter for heart ablation, this product can measure the contact pressure between the tip of the catheter and the heart wall in real-time, better assist the operator to complete the operation, effectively prevent the steam burst caused by excessive adhesion force or incomplete ablation caused by inadequate adhesion force between the catheter and tissue, shorten the doctor’s learning curve, and achieve a better long-term treatment success rate.-Fineline Info & Tech
